  • Gypsy Moth Discussion: Bonnie and Mike Doremire will inquire at Roscommon County regarding their Gypsy Moth Abatement procedures, as our county and township do not have policies in place. Becky Buxton will contact the company Roscommon County uses for pricing. Information as available will be distributed to members, including members and new members not in attendance.  Treatment previously done for the Association was very pricey, if undertaken again, it would possibly use all of our Association funds.
  • Motion presented by Jon Buxton to have Becky Buxton inquire and set up a PayPal or Venmo account for the Association. Second by Ed Rosa. Motion Passed
  • New internet Service discussed: Truestream with Great Lakes Energy. Bonnie Doremire reported that the company has been around the lake collecting meter and location data. The infrastructure is in place, just not the drops and connections to customers. Several service options are available. The company indicated it will be a several year process, yet when contacted by a member the interest is high in our area and the company is running ahead of schedule in several locations around the state.
  • Newsletter was referenced from the Township regarding several items, especially repaving. Jack Bergman, our House Representative, is working to have County Road 612 repaved. Please contact him to demonstrate interest.
  • Questions regarding if Fire Retardant was involved when the US Forest Service used helicopters to take KP Lake water to fight the Jones Lake area fire recently. Kyle Lake is normally used on Camp Grayling, however, KP Lake was used for this latest fire. Becky Buxton will inquire at the township if they have any information regarding this.
